Light and Sound Show at Lalbagh Fort, Dhaka



Light & Sound show at Lalbagh Fort has been inaugurated recently. The show involves special lighting effects that projects onto the building's façade and synchronized with a recorded narration and music to dramatize its archaeological history. The show will continue between mid-November and mid-March. There will be two 30-minute shows every day, except Sunday, one between Maghrib and Esha and another after Esha prayers to attract foreign tourist and internal visitors also.

The price of a ticket for the light and sound show will be Tk. 20 with an entry fee of Tk. 10 for Bangladeshis and Tk. 100 for visitors from SAARC countries and Tk. 200 for others.

Shaheed Minar, Dhaka



Thousands paid their tribute to the language Martyrs by putting flowers on the foot of "Shaheed Minar" (National Monument of Language Martyrs) in Bangladesh. Also, some volunteers decorated the stand with symbolic map of Bangladesh by colorful flowers on this day of 21st February, 2014. It is to mention that, The day of 21st February is the International Mother Language day. At this very day of 1952, dozens of students & political activists were killed when the Pakistani police force opened fire on Bengali protesters who were demanding equal status for their native tongue, Bengali.
