The padma is one of the largest river of the Asia. It has immense contribution to the inhabitants of its banks. The river deliberately circulates the culture, norm and life style of the people of this region.
As I born in Jessore district, I had to cross The Padma hundreds of times to communicate with Dhaka. Most often I used Daulatdia-Paturia or Golanda-Aricha ghat. But I got several opportunities to reveal the life on the bank of Padma near Mawa, Kawrakandi, Majhir ghat, Shariatpur ghat. I have walked miles of distance on the shore line of Padma at Shibchar Upazilla of Madaripur. Through my visit to these places, I shot some photos which can be used to demonstrate the life style of the Padma bound people. These photos are mostly captured during the year of 2011 and 2012.
